2001 Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad

Well, I guess the Shadow Journeys have come to an end....So Sad....But I'm definitely looking forward to some new adventures on this totally cool Nomad!! We've been riding the Shadow for a year now, and Jen actually liked it, so I guess it was time to move up and move on. The Shadow was an excellent value bike, but the 750 was just a little small for us. We can disappear for the weekend, and get in some pretty long trips. I think this bike is the coolest machine I've had the opportunity to pilot in quite some time. 1500 cc shaft driven, fuel injected, liquid cooled......Oh, enough with the commercial!! It's not like I get anything out of it! Stay tuned, this is only the break-in weekend. I hope to put about a million miles on this baby this summer!

This was taken at Ceasars Head State Park.

It was very hazy today, normally the view is magnificent.

Here's Jen enjoying the park!

That's a great little ride from here. If you ever get the chance, run down 276 ( Main Street) out of Brevard, NC to Ceasars Head State Park, then keep truckin' on down and catch Hwy 11 back to Traveler's Rest, SC. Run this back over to Hwy 25, and then come up The Old Hwy 25 toward Saluda(Old Greenville Hwy) through the Greenville watershed. It's a perfect day ride.
